Editorial graphic for “When the Kitchen Isn’t Safe for Women,” an article on sexual harrassment.

I was tasked with designing an editorial graphic that would accompany an article on sexual harassment experienced by female chefs in the restaurant industry. 

I used this retro color palette and pattern combination as a nod to the historical female gender roles referenced in the title. I also used red to communicate violence and urgency, and layered patterns in a collage-like style to add texture and visual interest.
